BMW Concept X2 why deprive yourself? BMW soon draw its SUV range Coupes cars from below by adding a X2. The brand unveils a glimpse at the World through this namesake concept.
Take an SUV, draw him a more slender profile and voila: you now have in your hands a SAC (Sports Activity Coupe) or what is more commonly called a coupe SUV, the new genre popular among premium manufacturers. BMW was the first to enter this niche market by marketing the X6, first named in 2008. Since then, the recipe has been emulated and has declined on the lower segment with the X4. Mercedes has also followed suit by launching its next versions « Coupe » its GLE and GLC.
BMW CONCEPT X2 NOT SO COUPE
BMW, it has not yet finished with the coupes SUV. The constructor to the propeller is ready indeed to start the BMW X2. As its name suggests, it will be an « Coupe » version of the X1. The transformation process is slightly different however on the small SUV family: while large X6 and X4 brothers display a very distinctive profile notchback, the BMW X2 keep his side a more conventional roofline. The affiliation with the model it is based, namely the X1, shows also less obvious than other Bavarian SUV coupes. But perhaps this is put down to the side very « show car » Concept BMW X2. Remains to be seen if the production model will also show different from X1.
Launched on the variant break of the Leon, X-Perience badge invites today on a model otherwise destined to receive such treatment: the Ateca SUV. For now, it is only a concept but everything suggests that production will indeed take place.
If Ateca still seemed a little too watered down level crossing, there are chances that this version of X-Perience reconciles you with the SUV Martorell. Because yes, its holding adventurer is not the only thing that distinguishes the standard Ateca. The X-Perience concept acquires indeed AWD 4Drive embellished with two new modes «snow» and «off-road» but also a sloping descent control. Added to this are a ground clearance a little higher and Michelin Latitude tires to expand its capabilities off the beaten track.
Under the hood, the Ateca X-Perience is content to adopt the most powerful diesel engine available on the series model, namely the 2.0 TDI 190 coupled to the DSG 7. Seat has not yet confirmed its entry into production, but it is not impossible that more is known at the Paris Motor Show.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee 2017 the vintage has chosen the Paris Motor Show to make its European debut. This new version is distinguished by a more distinctive front but above all by a new variant to Trailhawk road ability further increased.

In mechanical terms, there are no changes to report. The Grand Cherokee will propose always a 3.0 V6 diesel 250 hp, Flexfuel a V6 3.6 gasoline 286 hp but also the huge 6.4 V8 HEMI 468 hp SRT version. The Jeep Grand Cherokee will arrive in dealerships in December.
With its 2.5 tonnes on the scales, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT seems not really built for speed, and even less if it is to face a plane. But the SUV V8 today proves the opposite by picking little victory against an aerobatic aircraft.
